These photos were taken by a KHRG community member on September 27th 2016 at a monastery compound in Myaing Gyi Ngu Town, Hlaingbwe Township, Hpa-an District. The first photo shows food and vegetables that monks and villagers from Kawkareik Township, Dooplaya District donated to the villagers who had fled from Meh Th’Waw area to Myaing Gyi Ngu Town to avoid the fighting between DKBA and joint forces of BGF and Tatmadaw soldiers that occurred in early September 2016. These photos were taken by a community member on October 10th 2016 at D--- village, Meh Proo village tract, Hlaingbwe Township, Hpa-an District. The first row of two photos show villagers who had fled from the fighting collecting donations provided by two border-based CBOs, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and Partner. The CBOs donated mats, clothes, longyis, machetes, toilet bowls, stoves and food to the newly displaced people. The bottom two photos show temporary hunts and shelters that are built for villagers who had displaced from the fighting from the Meh Th’Waw area. [Photos: KHRG]
