EXILED AT HOME: Continued Forced Relocations and Displacement in Shan State

This report is based on interviews with Shan refugees conducted by a KHRG researcher in March 2000. It consists of an introduction and executive summary briefly explaining the background of the forced relocations and the current situation in central Shan State; the text of the report, which chronicles the lives of villagers in three different townships; and an analysis of the future for Shan villagers. The names of all of those interviewed have been changed and other details omitted where necessary to protect people.
